Introduction:  

Today India has been doing tremendously well in many sectors. Today India's achievements are numerous and include a strong Democracy, higher Education, Nuclear power, stunning economic growth and revival of numerous aspects of traditional Wisdom. Owing to the talent and will of the countrymen, we can see that India has reached among the top countries of the world especially in science and technology and various other fields. 

According to the 2019 Report, India has the 44th rank in technology level among the world. Also, India is considered one of the top five countries in space exploration. Today India has achieved so many achievements in the field of science and technology that every Indian is proud of his country. Let's know all your achievements in detail. 

Atomic clock by ISRO

The atomic clock is an amazing technology developed by ISRO and it is used to measure precise location data in navigation satellites. Proudly, ISRO is one of the Few Space organisations in the world, those who have developed this amazing technology.

Mars Orbiter Mission 

Mars orbiter mission is a great success achieved by India in the field of science and technology. India is the only nation in the world to reach Mars in the first attempt. Indian space research organisation (ISRO) launched Mangalyaan on 5 November 2013 and it was placed into mars orbit on 24 September 2014. The cost of the project was 74 million US dollars which are cheaper than anything that others can achieve. 

Chandaryaan 2 Mission

 The moon landing of Chandrayaan 2's Vikram lander is also a very special Indian technological achievement for India. Chandrayaan 2 mission marks India's first lunar exploration mission and ISRO put lots of effort into making this mission a success. With this mission, India has emerged as the fourth country in the world to have hoisted its flag on the lunar surface. This achievement is a matter of great Honour for the nation. 

PARAM - India first Super Computer 

India's first-ever super Computer named 'Param' is also a great achievement for India in science and technology. Param is designed and assembled by the Centre for the development of advanced computing in Pune. Today there are 11 supercomputers in India and they are used in the development of nuclear weapons and space programmes. 

Conclusion 

In conclusion, I want to say that development in science and technology is a very important part of economic growth and today India has a strong focus on science and technology. The Prime Minister also says that India will be one of the top 3 countries in technology by 2030.

India is long known for its rich culture and diversity in Modern Times our country is among the topmost nation in the field of science. Pandemic has forced us to depend on technology for performing our day-to-day tasks be it education, banking, buying groceries etc. 

The only reason Indians could pace with the present times and manage our economy even during testing time is because of our preparedness in as and steps taken in the field of science and technology. History reports our foresightedness in the field of science and technology with Aryabhatta.

Sushruta is known as the father of surgery as he invented a surgical instrument later used worldwide. The crescograph a device for measuring growth in plants was invented in India. We are not far behind in space as well from Kalpana Chawla to Chandrayaan 2 India has proved that it does not shy away from exploring space, planets and earth 

India expanded its access to space by launching 15 flights in the past decade placing 23 Indian satellites and 31 foreign satellites into orbit. On 17 January 2020 GSAT-30 successfully launched into transfer orbit from Korea launch base Mangalyaan was a huge accomplishment making India the first Asian Nation to reach Mars at the cost of just $ 74 million from the first test-tube baby Durga to developing coronavirus vaccine Indian scientists have always made us proud. 

Over the years Agni, now the name for a family of missiles has come to be the mainstay of India's strategic arsenal capable of carrying nuclear warheads to targets over 5,000 km away making us safe against enemies. India has proved its watch into the field of Computer technology as well with a deadline of three years a budget of around 30 crores per param 8000 (supercomputer)was born in 1991. 

Even though India has only 140 researchers per 10 lakh population this has never been a shortcoming in the development of Science and Technology. We Indians must feel proud of our technological advancements and try to utilise them in the best manner possible.

Science and technology play an important role in modern life and it has influenced human civilization by going deep into it. Technical advancement in modern life has given us very much insight into the whole world. 

Scientific revolutions caught their full speed in the 20th century and became even more advanced in the 21st century. We have entered into a new century with all the systems for good for new ways and people. Modern culture and civilization have become dependent on science and technology because they have become an integral part of life according to the need and needs of the people. 

India has become an important source of creative and fundamental scientific development and in all the perspectives around the world. All great scientific discoveries and technical achievements have improved the Indian economic situation in our country and have created many new approaches for the new generation to develop a technologically advanced environment. 

Much new scientific research and development is possible in the field of mathematics, architecture, chemistry, astronomy, medicine, metallurgy, natural philosophy, physics, agriculture, health care, pharmaceuticals, astrophysics, atomic energy, space technology, application, defence etc. 

The introduction of scientific research, ideas and techniques in the field of education has brought a huge change in the new generation at large and has given a variety of new and innovative opportunities to work in their own interests. Modern science in India has made people aware of their constant and hard efforts by scientists. India's scientist is great, who has made scientific progress of the highest international calibre.

Technical development in any area enhances the economy of any country. In order to improve the power of science and technology in India, the Government of India established the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research in 1942 and the Board of Scientific and Industrial Research in 1940. 

In order to emphasize the development of science and technology in the country, the Indian government has established a series of research institutes in national laboratories and various fields.

After Independence, for the national development of our country, our country has started promoting the spread and spread of science. Various policies created by the government have emphasized self-sufficiency and sustainable development and growth throughout the country. Both Science and Technology have done exceptionally well in economic development and social development in the country.

Introduction: 

After gaining independence in 1947 Jawaharlal Nehru realized that the progress of industrialization in independent India depended on the advancement of modern scientific technology. He took active initiatives to improve technology. At Nehru's initiative, about 50 national laboratories for science and technology were established. 

Role of Scientists: 

Various scientists play an important role in the advancement of technology in India. Among these scientists are Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis, Homi Jehangir Bhabha, Dr Vikram Sarabhai and Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar. The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and the Atomic Energy Commission of India was established in India at the initiative of Homi Bhabha. 

Agricultural Technology: 

Various initiatives have been taken to improve agricultural technology in India. Scientist C.Subramaniam made an outstanding contribution in this regard. He significantly increased agricultural production by producing improved agricultural seeds in the laboratory.

As a result of the massive expansion of irrigation, an additional 45 million acres of agricultural land came under irrigation between 1948 and 1972. Food production also increased by 34 million metric tons. 


Indian Institute of Technology: 

A committee of 22 experts was formed to promote technology education in India. The committee favoured the establishment of the Indian Institute of Technology in imitation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States. 

Accordingly, the then Education Minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad established this institution in 1951 (August 16) in Kharagpur, West Bengal. Later in Madras, Bombay, Kanpur and Delhi. I. I.T. Is established. 

The Center for Advanced Technologies or CAT was established in 1974 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh for the purpose of research on technological advancement. this institution in 1951 (August 16) in Kharagpur, West Bengal. Space and Atomic Research: 

The Indian Space Research Organization was formed in the early 1960s with the help of the Soviet Union to advance space research. Physicist Dr Vikram Sarabhai had an outstanding contribution to India's space research program. That is why he is called the father of India's space program. Significant progress has also been made in nuclear energy research in India with the help of Soviet Russia. India detonates its first atomic bomb at Pokhran in Rajasthan on May 16, 1974. 

Defense Technology: 

After independence, India's defence technology also improved considerably. The Defense Research and Development Organization of India was established in 1956. India's defeat to China in 1962 made Jawaharlal Nehru more concerned about defence. As a result, various defence initiatives were taken in India with the help of Russia. 

Broadcast technology: 

Although radio broadcasting began in India in 1928, it expanded considerably after independence. All India Radio became Akashvani in 1956. Doordarshan started broadcasting in India in 1959. By 1975 it had spread considerably. Significant progress was also made in the field of computer software research in India in the 1980s. 

Conclusion: 

Despite some obstacles, technology has improved significantly in independent India. One of the examples of this is the green revolution in agriculture, one of the examples of progress in agricultural technology. Increasing the rate of energy and steel production has made a significant contribution to the advancement of technology in the country.
