Pastime is leisure time pursuits. In order to maintain a balance between the body and mind, and to keep them fit for work, the pastime is necessary for all.

The common leisure pursuits of the young and old people of Bangladesh include taking part in games and sports, rowing boats, swimming, visiting different places, enjoying cinemas, and watching TV programs.

The leisure pursuits of the old are morning walks, visiting neighbors' houses, and watching TV.

The Chinese spend their pastimes visiting parks and enjoying acrobatic performances. Baseball, golf, and martial arts such as judo and karate are especially popular pastimes with men in Japan.

Pastime contributes remarkably to the formation and development of Everybobody's personality. It feeds our soul.

Pastime is of two types-outdoor and indoor. In fact, the type and nature of pastimes depend on the age and taste of a person.

Especially young and adolescent people enjoy climbing trees, playing with conkers, and daisy chains, making dens, and feeding birds as outdoor pastimes.

Little children especially girls enjoy playing with puppets as Indoor pastimes. Little boys enjoy playing with toys like motor cars, boat origami, etc.

Young, energetic, and solvent people enjoy hiking, bird watching, sightseeing, visiting historical places, and meeting relatives. Aged people are usually fond of enjoying pastimes at home.

Of all popular indoor pastimes watching television, reading books and gossiping are very common. In cities, there are some nice clean parks. During holidays people usually go to visit those parks in search of amusement.

For outdoor pastimes, bird watching is now becoming popular. Real enthusiasts go even to the remote areas to see their feathered friends.

As life is getting mechanical day by day, people intend to shake off their suffocation and pass some moment out of the din and bustle of everyday life.

So pastimes, both outdoor and indoor, are becoming an inevitable part of our daily life.

My favourite pastime essay 300 words

The work which we do regularly for enjoyment rather than work is called pastime. In other words, pastime means activities to be done at one's leisure. It varies from place to place.

The pastime in our country varies with respect to the locality. In the village, we see men gossiping and leisurely.

They are also involved in some sports and games like boat races, kite flying, etc.

Some village people entertain themselves by doing social activities. Some people take part in cultural activities like 'Jatra, Jari-Gana' etc.

In the town, we see people entertain themselves by participating in discussions on political issues at tea shops.

His pastime has changed in this scientific age. He is fond of spending leisure time before television.

They watch the programs on various satellite channels. The young generation is very fond of cricket and hence they prefer sports channels.

The women of the city area are fond of watching dramas and movies on television.

The Chinese spend their time with their family members in the parks. The Japanese love sports and spend their time playing baseball, golf, and practicing martial arts.

Students spend their leisure in English clubs or art clubs or skateboarding. Thus the pastime varies from region to region.

Watching TV, reading novels, collecting postage stamps, sightseeing, gardening, walking, gossiping, fishing, picnics, etc. are common pastimes around the world.

I am deeply interested in photography. That's why it's my favorite pastime.

My favorite pastime for students

Everyone has a favorite pastime, but there are different activities. For me, the elapsed time is very important to do something, when we use the good times and reap the benefits.

My favorite pastimes are reading novels, playing badminton, and playing games on the laptop until listening to songs.

When I have a pastime, I like to read novels, especially the novel Alaf 21, sometimes I read magazines like Remaza, Dara, and Vanita.

The story of this novel is very interesting and get more knowledge. When I always read novels, I get more knowledge and instruction and appreciate stories.

In magazines, I get more inspiration, tips, knowledge, and story about contemporary issues.

In the afternoon I like to play badminton with my friends and sometimes with my sister. I play near my house. We just play for pleasure and physical exercise. I always play from 6 pm to 7 pm.

The outdoor activity gives health to the body and stays healthy in life. If you do not exercise, it is easy for the body to get sick. Sometimes we should devote time to exercise so as to be healthy.

In indoor activities, I like sports players like ball games, the need for speed (race car), and counter strike.

I listen to music when I play sports. I love this game because it challenges my mind, relaxes my mind, and tests a patient.

At the same time, the brain must rest from hard work, so I chose a sports player to let my mind rest and relax.

There are many things we can do to be satisfied with profit activities in the past.

Therefore, we can make good use of the past time with good activities and not waste the time.
