Introduction


The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, on 31 October 2015, on the occasion of the 148th birth anniversary of Sardarbhai Patel, announced the India Emphasis India Plan.


Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Tribute to Sardar Patel


His role in the national integration of India during and after the India Pakistan Partition is unprecedented, he personally oversaw the division of borders and property between India and Pakistan.

He was instrumental in persuading 565 princely states to the Union of India, a feat that earned Sardar Vallabhai Patel the coveted Iron Man of India.

Today's Indian people of different cultural and religious origins are united under one flag and one nation, it is because of the vision and labour of Sardar Patel.

So on his birthday, the Prime Minister announced "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" to pay tribute to the Iron Man of India.


Purpose of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat


The main objective of this scheme is to promote national integration among the people of different states and union territories by organizing mutual cultural exchange programs from time to time.

It also seeks to promote the spirit of unity by making people understand each other's cultural and literary values.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi talks about a scheme on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, 31 October 2015 (birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel).

The name of this scheme is Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat which is in the process of being launched in the near future with the aim of enhancing and enriching the culture and tradition of the country.

The Prime Minister has announced that the Government of India will launch a new initiative to promote cultural ties between different parts of the country.

People-to-people contact is to increase people-to-people contact between different states. According to this plan, one state of the country will be connected to another state on an annual basis and both popularize each other's rich heritage through events such as song festivals. , food festivals, literary events, book festivals, excursions and travels etc.

Next year, both the states will join the other two states with the aim of the same goal. It is the way to make people aware of the culture, traditions and practices of different states across the country.

It will enhance the proper understanding and bond between the people as well as strengthen unity and integrity. The Government of India has decided to seek inputs from the citizens of India before implementing this initiative.

Hence Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat competition has been started to get the views and opinions of the people.
