Introduction:- 

Indian Gallantry Award is the highest decoration of valour awarded for the most conspicuous bravery or some daring or prominent act of valour or self-sacrifice in the presence of the enemy on land, sea or air, India is a great country where people speak different languages but the national language is Hindi before 200 years ago India was the slave of British rule. In 1947 India become independent. This independence had given by freedom fighters. 

Today, Gallantry awards are given to show respect for acts of bravery and sacrifice of officers, civilians, armed, forces.

Dhan Singh A Gallantry:- 

Major Dhan Singh Thappa was a war hero who was in command of a forwarding post in Ladakh. Thapa was a war hero who was in command of a forwarding post in Ladakh. on 20 October 1962, it was attacked by the Chinese in overwhelming strength after being subjected to intensive artillery are mortar bombardment. 

When It was finally overrun by the overwhelming number of Chinese, major Thapa got out of his trench and killed several enemies in hand to hand fighting major Thapa's cool courage, conspicuous fighting qualities and leadership were the highest traditions of our Army.

A famous Gallantry Award winner is Major Dhan Singh. I am highly inspired by this personality he was fearless and courageous and always ready to serve his nation. His bravery and love for the motherland inspire me a lot. I want to become a soldier like Dhan Singh and serve my motherland.
