7th Pay Commission: Salary For Govt Employees To Increase Again, Centre To Decide On Fitment Factor This Month

Before the new year 2023, the Central Government employees (7th Pay Commission Fitment Factor Update) can get great news. According to the latest media reports, before the upcoming dearness allowance, a decision can be taken on the fitment factor under the 7th Pay Commission, it can be increased from 3 percent to 3.68 percent.

However, no official confirmation has been made by the government in this regard so far. Once again the discussion of 8th Pay Commission has intensified.

According to media reports, the employees unions say that they are preparing a memorandum in this regard, which will be submitted to the Central Government soon. In this, there will be a demand to increase the salary or to bring the 8th Pay Commission as per the recommendations.

If the government refuses to accept their demands, then the Sangh will be forced to follow the path of agitation. In this movement, employees as well as employees before getting pension will also participate. Last time in 2017 the entry level basic pay was increased from Rs 7000 to Rs 18000 per month.

After the recent DA hike, the salary for the central government employee is likely to increase again. As per the latest reports, the Center is likely to take a decision on the fitment factor this month.

The development comes at a time when revision in fitment factor has been a long pending demand of lakhs of employees across the country. Central government employees have been demanding for several months to increase the fitment factor from 2.57 times to 3.68 times.

7th Pay Commission: This is the calculation after increasing the fitment factor

According to media reports, the government may take a decision to increase the fitment factor after next year's Union Budget. If the government increases the fitment factor by 3 times, the salary excluding allowances will be 18,000 X 2.57 = Rs 46,260. On the other hand, if the demands of the employees are accepted, then the salary will be 26000 X 3.68 = Rs 95,680. If the government considers 3 times the fitment factor, then the salary will be 21000 X 3 = Rs 63,000.

7th Pay Commission: DA hiked by 4% for employees and pensioners, to be paid in cash in 2 installments

Government employees and pensioners will get dearness allowance at an enhanced rate of 38 per cent with effect from July 1 this year by four per cent from the existing rate.

According to an order issued by the Secretary, Finance Department, a copy of which is below, government employees working in regular pay levels under the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission will be paid dearness allowance at the revised rate of 38 per cent of the basic pay from the existing pay. Will go 34 percent of basic pay. The revised rate will be effective from July 1, 2022.

The order states, "The term 'Basic Pay' in the revised pay structure means the pay drawn at the prescribed level in the pay matrix as per the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission, but does not include any other type of pay such as special pay etc." "

It further said that the arrears of additional installment of DA from July, 2022 will be paid in cash in two equal installments (one in the month of November, 2022 and the other in the month of December, 2022) and part of the salary from November.
