15 August Poem in English

1) 15 August Poem in English

On this Independence Day

We remember the years past.

We honour this very day

For our flag, old glory, has last.

On this Independence Day

Two centuries ago,

we Declared our independence

For justice and liberty.

Let us celebrate with joy and honesty.

2) 15 August Poem in English

Our's is a land of sages,

Known for bravery for ages.

None can with it compete,
Its culture none can beat.

Whatever caste or religion,
All live here in unison.

With rivers, sweet fountains,

it's a land of high mountains.

Its green forests are pretty,

And are a source of prosperity.
Let's for it work hard,

For its safety, be on guard.

3) 15 August Poem in English

Some things can't just be expressed in words

My Eyes are a little wet seeing the free-flying birds

These are tears of happiness seeing the

birds flying up in the sky

Thanks to the fearless leaders, who faced it all

Making tough times pass by

There may be many things, can't be lived without

But Freedom is what I cherish the most

Without any doubt,

Love can speak volumes even when words become less

Love for freedom of some has left us blessed

Blessed with this freedom, these moments we share

let's learn to care for the people around us,

Care for our nation in every possible way

Come let us together with our beautiful India.
A very happy Independence day!!!

4) 15 August Poem in English

On Independence Day

we remember the years past.
We honour this day.
by saluting our flag

We are a country known for bravery:
none can compete with us.
Our culture is unique and people of all castes and religions,

live here in unison.

With rivers and high mountains,

our green forests are our wealth.
Let's work hard for our country,

and celebrate our independence with joy
Happy Independence Day!!!

5) 15 August Poem in English

I can show respect to the flag

By standing straight and tall

I keep my eyes on the flag
That is hanging on the wall

Before beginning to say the pledge

I place my right hand over my heart

I stand waiting patiently

For the rest of the class to start

I say the pledge with everyone

As if we have one voice

Showing respect to the flag

Is a very important choice.

6) 15 August Poem in English

"Where the mind is without fear
and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been
broken up into fragments by
narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from
the depth of truth; Where tireless striving stretches
its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason
has not lost its way into the dreary
desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by thee
into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father,
let my country awake."

8) 15 August Poem in English

The Dawn of Freedom, 1942
'Mother, see how the bird flies
Joyful, full of song.

I want to be like that, Mother,

How long will it be, how long?'
'Son, as the river is flowing

From the mountain to the sea,

As to his hive, unthinking,
Travels the honeybee.'

'So India is marching

Straight to her Freedom Day.
And nobody shall stop her And nothing shall bar the way.'

‘And you shall be free as the bird is
Free as the air, my son! The bars of your cage will be broken,
Your journey began.

9) 15 August Poem in English

We are free because we can
move and decide on our own.

We can live a peaceful life without any intrusion.

Just always remember that this freedom entails

responsibility that

we will pass on to our children.
