Essay on importance of fundamental duties

As a citizen of India, we are entitled to certain rights as well as obliged to certain duties. It is our duty as responsible citizens that we abide by these laws and carry out our duties. 42nd Amendment Act of 1976 added ten fundamental duties to the Indian constitution, 86 Amendment Act 2002 later added 11, the fundamental duty to the least. So I don't think the committee in 1976 recommended fundamental duties, the necessity of which was felt during the internal emergency of 1975 to 77.

Fundamental duties basically imply the moral obligations of all citizens of a country duty. There are 11 fundamental duties in India which are written in part 4A of the Constitution, to promote patriotism and strengthen the unity of India. The fundamental duties promote a spirit of patriotism and uphold the unity of India. And concerning the individuals and the nation.

Following are the 11 fundamental duties:

NUMBER 1: To abide by the Constitution and respect its ideals and institutions, the national flag and the national anthem,

NUMBER 2: To cherish and follow the noble ideals which inspired our national struggle for freedom.

NUMBER 3: To uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity, and integrity of India.

NUMBER 4: To define the country and render national service for the nation's security when called upon to do so.

NUMBER 5: To promote harmony and regional or sectional diversi the spirit of common brotherhood amongst all the people of India, transcending religious, linguistic, social, and Risner or fictional diversities to renounce practices. Derogatorily to the dignity of women.

NUMBER 6: To value and preserve the rich heritage of our composite culture.

NUMBER 7: To protect and improve the national environment, including forests, lakes, rivers, wildlife, and to have compassion for living creatures,

NUMBER 8: To develop the scientific temper of humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform.

Number 9: To safeguard public property and to assure violence.

NUMBER 10: To strive towards excellence in all spheres of individual and collective activity so that the nation constantly rises to higher levels of endeavor and achievement

NUMBER 11:  Who is a parent or guardian to provide opportunities for education to his child, or as the case may be, fought between the age of six to 14 years.

In addition, according to the 86th constitutional amendment in 2002. It is the duty of the people of India to adapt to make India a safer place to live, to be clean and make the surroundings clean, and not to hurt anybody physically and mentally.

Duties the fundamental duties that were assaulted by the 42nd Amendment of the Constitution in 1976 along with creating and promoting your culture, since the duties are imposed upon the citizen and not upon the state legislation is essential further

For example, magnanimous cannot be sought against an invasion who doesn't observe his duties under this article with respect to the duty under the clause a of this article it's been held that the proper respect is shown to the national anthem by standing up when the national anthem is sung

It will not be right to say that the disrespect is shown by nonjournaling in the singing while the fundamental rights provisions covered the right of the person and the manager principle the responsibilities of the state

Until 1976 there was no provision in our Constitution playing the uterus of the individual through the heritage and temper of the Indians have been taught throughout the ages good with increased emphasis on the duties

For every right there is a corresponding duty yurei is an inalienable part of the right the to signify ly either side of the same coin what's Duty for one is suitable for me and vice versa

If all men have a right to live the due date is also caste creed of an argument to respect human life and not to injure another person, Gandhi ji sought to emphasize the economic and social responsibilities of all of the citizens

It was not keeping with his idea that the constitution of 42nd Amendment Act 1976 was added to the Constitution a new part for a name fundamental duties after the four first parts three and four of the fundamental rights indirect the principle of the state policy was that.

Initially, an in number the fundamental duties were increased to 11 from the eighty-sixth amendment in 2002 which added a duty on every parent or guardian to make sure that third child of God who's provided with opportunities for education between the age of six and four anymore

The new part consisted of this article 51a which reads as follows 51a it will be viewed after every citizen of India abide by the Constitution and respect the national flag and the national to cherish and follow the noble ideals which inspired our national struggle for liberty

To up and protect the sovereignty unity and integrity of India to defend the country and render national service when called upon to do so to promote the harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood among all people of India transcending religious linguistic and regional or sectional diversity and to renounce the practices we brought you to the dignity of human

To appreciate and preserve the rich heritage of our composite culture to protect and enhance the natural environment including forest glades River invite life and to have the compassion for the preachers to develop the scientific temper humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform to protect

The public property and to observe violence to strive towards the excellence and all Spears of individual and collective activity so that the nation constantly rises to the high levels of endeavor and accomplishment

To provide opportunities for education by the parents and the Guardian to his kids or God between the ages of 6 to 14 years as the case may be this was inserted by the 86th constitutional amendment in 2002

Criticism of the fundamental duties

The fundamental duties mentioned in the part Faure of the constitution have been criticized on the following grounds they've been described by critics as redundant and a code of ethical percept due to the non-justiciable character

This is because the responsibilities included in the Constitution as basic would be performed by the people even though they weren't incorporated in the Constitution, a few of the duties are we ambiguous and hard to be understood by the common man

The list of duties isn't exhaustive as it does not cover the other important duties like casting wood taxation family planning and so on in fact the obligation to pay taxes was advocated by this furnace in committee the critics stated that the inclusion of the basic duties as an appendage to the part 4 of this Constitution has reduced their value and significance

They need to have been added following the part third in order to keep them on par with the basic rights

Significance of the fundamental duties

Regardless of the criticisms from the opposition, the fundamental duties are considered important from the following we appointees they function as a source of inspiration for those citizens and encourage a sense of dedication and discipline among them they produce a feeling that the citizens aren't a mere spectator but active participants as well as the realization of the federal holes.

They viewed as a warning against anti-national and anti-social activities like burning in national fact destroying public property and much more, they saw as a reminder to the taxpayers then while they are enjoying their rights they should also be conscious of their responsibilities that they owe the nation.
