Sudha Murthy  was born on 19th August 1950 in Siggaon, Karnataka to Sergeant Dr. R.H. Kutti and his wife Vimala Kulkarni 

She completed B.E in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and M.E in computer science she received a gold medal in B.E and M.E too 

She is also a philanthropist a social worker and a writer in Kannada Marathi in English 

She is the child person of the Influences Foundation and wife of the co-founder of Infosys and also a member of public health care initiatives of the Gates Foundation 

She has founded several majors participated in rural development efforts supported the movement to provide all Kannar government schools with computer and library facilities and established the classical library of India at Harvard University.

N. R. Narayana Murthy with owed Rs. 4000 to Sudan during their courtship career which she maintained in a small diary and tore the paper when she got married to Narayan Murty
