Union Minister of State - Mr Jitendra Singh' (Science & Technology) has announced.

According to him, this theme has been chosen for the purpose of the Scientific issues involved.

Integration of Science is based on fower Pillars: These pillars include coming together of all Science ministers and departments to work on the theme-based approach of Problem Solving.

This is related to the finding of alternative and renewable energy sources in order to reduce pollution. It also helps to avoid depleting the already. Scarce resources.

Integration of science is based on four pillars and these are coming together of all science ministries approach together of all science ministries, the approach of problem-solving, extended science integration aligned with technology etc. 

In the end, we can say that science has a big hand in making man a successful person in future. 

Today man has been able to do his work in the blink of an eye, which is possible only through science, so we can say with confidence that science has an important role to about in making a sustainable future.

The theme for this year's National Science Day will be 'Integrated Approach in S&T for Sustainable Future', Union minister of state for science and technology Jitendra Singh has announced recently.

According to Singh, the theme has been chosen for the purpose of raising public appreciation of the scientific issues involved. 

He added that celebrations of important scientific days should not remain a one-day event and there is a need to build upon this on a regular basis. 

"Integration of science is based on four pillars. These pillars include coming together of all science ministries and departments to work on a theme-based approach of problem-solving," said Singh. 

The two other pillars, Singh added, were extended science integration aligned with technical, engineering and medical institutes and extra science integration in alignment with line ministries/departments of the Central Government. 

The fourth pillar, he said, was an extended science-driven approach involving industries and startups leading to a sustainable future. 

The minister said that he is planning a National Science Conclave in the coming days involving science ministries and departments from the Centre and all states and union territories to deliberate upon pressing problems in India and effective solutions for the same. 

Shekhar C Mande, secretary, DSIR and DG, CSIR; Rajesh S Gokhale, secretary, department of Bio-Technology; S. Chandrasekhar, secretary, department of Science and Technology and senior officials of DST, DBT and CSIR were present at the launch event on January 5. 

National Science Day (NSD) is celebrated every year on February 28 to commemorate the discovery of the 'Raman Effect. 

The government of India designated February 28 as National Science Day (NSD) in 1986. On this day scientist, CV Raman announced the discovery of the 'Raman Effect' for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930. 

On this occasion, theme-based science communication activities are carried out all over the country. Department of Science and Technology (DST) acts as a nodal agency to support, catalyse and coordinate the celebration of the National Science Day throughout the country in scientific institutions, research laboratories and autonomous scientific institutions associated with the Department of Science and Technology. 

National Council for Science & Technology Communication (NCSTC), DST has supported various programmes countrywide by giving grants to its state S&T (science and technology) councils and departments for the organisation of lectures, quizzes, open houses, and so on.
