Our Society has always needed such great men whose sacrifices inspire us to give up our lives but do not give up the truth. One of the great men was the great sacrificer "Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji" He was the ninth Guru of Sikhs. He was the youngest son of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. He was known as the Dhew star of Sikh.

On 1 April 1621, a child was born in Amritsar which was named Tayagmal. He was very intelligent He was brave and fearless nature since childhood.

At the age of just 14, he showed valour in the war against the attack of the Mughals. Impressed by his bravery, his father changed his name from Tayagmal to Tegh Bahadur.

In his earlier days, he learned several languages such as Greerumukhi, Hindi, Sanskrit and other religious philosophies when he was known as Tegh Bahadur, he spent his time in studies and meditation. Time passed and soon she got married to Mata Gujri at karat pure in 1632.

Soon the responsibility of instructing and guiding the Sikh community was on Guru Tegh Bahadur. He sacrificed his life for the welfare of people.

The important event of Guru Tegh Bahadur life is defended one's religion.  November 1675, on this, when he was beheaded by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Ofter referred to as Hind ki Chasar, which means child of Indi, Guru Tegh Bahadur is considered as the most selfless martyr.

The Mughal ruler wanted to convert all Indians into Muslims. He wanted everyone to either take up Islam or else be prepared for execution.

After this announcement by Aurangzeb, a group of 500 Kashmiri pandits led by pandit Kripa Ram went to seek help from Guru Tegh Bahadur at Anandpur sahib On hearing This atrocity of Aurangzeb, Gobind Rai, the son of Guru Tegh Bahadur declared that it is the only father who can solve this problem.

The ninth guru of Sikhs Rodily agreed to help the pandits · He asked them to inform the Mugal rules that if us able to convert Guru Tegh Bahadur, then all people would follow the suit.

After Aurangzeb came to known about this Guru Tegh Bahadur was arrested and presented before the Mughal rules.

Guru Tegh Bahadur clearly refuses to take up Islam.  As a result, he along with his followers were physically tortured for five days. As a result, Aurangzeb beheaded him at the Chandni Chowk in broad daylight. Guru Tegh Bahadur, who gave his life to protect the religion of others will always be in our hearts.
