World book day is also known as world book and copyright day or international day of the book, this is an annual event organized by the united nations educational scientific and cultural organization UNESCO to promote reading publishing and copyright

The first world book day was celebrated on 23rd April in 1995. the date is also the death and the birth anniversary of the prominent authors including William Shakespeare, William Woodsworth, and many other authors too.

Each year UNESCO chooses a world book capital where activities are held and supported by the book industry, the united nations educational scientific and cultural organizations propose world book day as a day of celebrating the joy of reading for enjoyment.

Children who regularly read for enjoyment have higher test scores develop a broader vocabulary increased general knowledge and a better understanding of other cultures than their non-reading counterparts.

World book day is organized by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO) on this occasion UNESCO and the international organizations representing the three major sectors of the book industry publishers booksellers and libraries select the world book capital for a year.

World book and copyright day are celebrated worldwide to recognize the scope of books as a link between the past and the future.

Along with being a cultural and generational bridge UNESCO and organizations representing publishers booksellers and libraries select the world book capital for a year to maintain the celebrations of a book and reading.

World Book Day is celebrated to promote reading, publishing, and copyright. This Day is an occasion to celebrate the contribution of books and authors to our global culture.

On this day, many activities are held to promote reading and the cultural aspects of books all over the world. The day promotes organizing events and book fests to pay tribute to books and authors encouraging everyone to access books.

Books help to inspire students to do hard work with courage and hope. They enrich the experience of students and sharpen their intellect. There are many benefits of reading books; students will get more knowledge, and build more vocabulary.

Many students forget what they have learned yesterday, but reading books can help improve the memory of students. When students read books, they create the images of the story and character mentioned in the book and they are able to memorize what they have read.

Books play an essential role in our life by introducing us to a world of imagination, providing knowledge of the outside world. Of course, books help us to improve our own performance and way of thinking. When we start reading and analyzing things, our focus and concentration automatically increase.

We can see, Books develop our personality in a better way. it gives us inner peace in our busy lives. This helps in moderating our blood pressure levels and also keeps our mood swings. The books uplift our knowledge and making better use of our time.

Yes, no doubt, Books are our best friend and powerhouse of knowledge and wisdom. In the current world, we can see technology has been an integral part of our lives. From a young age to old age, we see everyone using electronic gadgets. It might be TV, smartphones, laptops, tablets, and so on.

The valuable books are resting in the library and our shelves. It is a pathetic condition in the present world. The present generation keeps a negligent attitude towards books and reading.

Technology has replaced human life in various ways including studying. We should utilize the technology but not should be slaves of them.

We all should love the books and read the books. Otherwise, our brain might be transformed into mere a robot. Yes, the real automatic brain. is my message in this world book day

I am concluding my words by quoting the words of Margaret Fuller 'TODAY A READER, TOMORROW A LEADER
